The island of Cyprus is split between the Greek and Turks. Cyprus was always in a conflict between the Turks and the Greek communities in the Island. In 1974, Greek Military crop decided to join the island, in response to this, Turks invaded the Island from North. The Island was divided between Turkish Northern Cyprus and the Greek Cypriots. Cyprus remains divided to this day.
