Andrew Jackson was, to some, a great president. However, his cruel actions outweighed his good ones. He was malevolent to people of other races, like many southerners from that time period. He stole money from the government for his own personal benefit. He sent the Native Americans on the Trail of Tears and he was very cruel to slaves. All in all, Andrew Jackson was a malignant person who should not have become president. In the next couple paragraphs, I will explain more about Andrew Jackson and his flaws and cruel actions.

Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of The United States. Professionally he was a lawyer and a soldier. He was surrounded by many controversies and cruel actions.

  • He owned a plantation land near Nashville where crops like cotton were grown primarily.

  • The plantation was depended on the slaves owned by him.

  • He used methods like whipping on his slaves to increase the production of his cropland. He was called brutal and cold-blooded.

  • Jackson in his speech mentioned attacking and conquering all of Florida and North America.

  • But the plan of his attack failed and he backed from his words. After the Burr trial, Jackson lived quietly.
