A person with type 1 diabetes cannot make insulin in the pancreas, and a person with untreated type 2 diabetes does not respond to the insulin that is made in the pancreas. In either case, why would you expect to find glucose in the person’s urine?

Respuesta :

Answer:

Because glucose concentration became too high in blood for both condition.

Explanation:

Glucose is transported by secondary active transport and and facilitated diffusion with the help of SGLT2 cotransporter and sodium potassium active transport pump from the renal tubule.

Glucose carriers cause the reabsorption of glucose from the renal tubule and their concentration increase with the increase of concentration of glucose in blood upto a limit. In both the conditions of Diabetes the glucose concentration in blood became too high that body cannot prevent the glucose to slipping into renal tubule.

So we expect to find glucose in the person’s urine because excess glucose in blood could cause the glucose carriers to reach their maximum level.
