Hey there,

This question is asking us to find the slope using the given points. In order to do that we use the equation:

  • [tex]\frac{y_{2} - y_{1} }{x_{2} - x_{1} }[/tex]

Now we use the points and plug them into the equation above:

  • [tex]\frac{(3)-(5)}{(-2)-(-7)}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{-2}{5}[/tex]

Therefore the slope of the line that passes through the points (-7, 5) and (-2, 3) would be [tex]-\frac{2}{5}[/tex]

Hope I helped,

Amna
