Don't we already know the opposite sides of a rectangle are congruent without six steps?

They picked the wrong triangles, they should show

BAD is congruent to ABC

9. They're probably looking for CPCTC, corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent.  But AC isn't in either of the triangles they showed congruent.
