Mitch finds it difficult to accept the fact that death is part of life. A part of Morrie’s key aphorism is that death is a part of life. Mitch believes that this food might help Morrie live longer. Food is also something that is in the picture whenever friends and family come together. The food was simply brought as an act of tradition.
Mitch brought the food as a ritual, showing that he will help til the end.
