Answer:

The story tells of two blind individuals who never knew each others deficiency and limitation.

Explanation:

The story was such a touching one and tells how beauty can be visualized  from another sense- the heart. The young man tried to conceal his shortcomings and unknown to him the interesting lady was as blind as him and wanted to learn as much about her immediate environment as he would like to learn from her too.

The short ride in the train provided the opportunity for the two to recount the world around them which they could not see but feel.

His initial approach was suggestive to the lady that he had sight and could see his environment. He compounded it with the view through the windows, on the invitation of the lady, and his confirmation of the beauty outside

His fear would have been his greatest blessings, because if had told the lady he was blind, the lady  too would have been more open to him in letting him know that she was blind too. And together they would have enjoyed the environment outside of them, knowing they can only feel and not see.

He would have made a true and honest friend if he was open and not  to let him limitations to limit him.

The short train ride would have ended with opportunity of meeting again if he was open enough to let her understand his predicament. 'As she stood to leave...i wanted to raise my hand to touch her....' It was a clear expression of desire but a desire that would not continue because each felt they are protecting their deficiencies.

Imagine if the two had gift of sight, the train ride would have provided an opportunity for him to have a true, interesting and pretty friend.

The young man tried to hide his flaws, but he had no idea that the interesting lady was also blind and wish to study more about her immediate surroundings as he wish to study from her.

The short train ride allowed the two to reminisce about the world round the them, of the kind that they couldn't see but could feel.

His initial approach gave the impression to the lady that he was sighted and aware of his surroundings.

The plot revolves around two blind people who were unaware of each other's weakness and limitations.

On the lady's invitation, he included the view from the windows, and his affirmation of the loveliness outdoors.

If he had been honest enough to let her realize his predicament, the brief train ride would have concluded with the possibility of meeting again.
