A) Catholics
The resurfaced Ku Klux Klan combined their ideas with nativists who were anti-immigrant groups focused in the North and large urban areas. Immigrants at the time were largely Catholic and therefore became an easy group to target.
The 1920's Klan is the largest and most powerful in American history. The group held government positions and held a large rally in Washington DC to demonstrate their power and range. The group began to target any and all groups they believed were un-American. This included blacks, Catholics, Jews, Mexicans, Asians, and any other group deemed undesirable. Catholics were easy to target as they lived in communities together and practiced a faith that required allegiance to an outsider (the Pope).
