The law of universal gravitation states that any two objects in the universe,
without exception, attract each other.

When you think about it, that means that there is a force of attraction
between the lint at the bottom of your pocket and the smallest grain
of sand on the beach on the other side of the farthest planet of the
farthest star in the farthest galaxy on the other side of the universe
from us.  The force is too small to measure, but it can be calculated.
Attract to each other. Think of how Earth is constantly attracted to the sun. We are pulled by it's gravity. The moon is pulled by Earths gravity and the suns unintentionally. The moon being pulled partially by the suns gravity keeps it from crashing into us.
