The Greek sculptor Polykleitos's statue The Spear Bearer emphasizes C. athleticism and the beauty of the human form in action. Greek sculptors really wanted to show people with perfect bodies who look athletic and muscular, and generally fit. They also didn't want to build static sculptures, but rather people moving, which is the perfect example here, in Doryphoros, or The Spear Bearer.
