Square root of 100 is a rational number. Because sqaure rooot 100 = 10. And, 10 can be written in the form rational number. Any number that can be written in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q in not zero is called a rational number.
For this case we have the following number:
 [tex] \sqrt{100} [/tex]
By power properties we can rewrite the number.
 We have then:
 [tex] \sqrt{100} = \sqrt{10*10} [/tex]
 [tex] \sqrt{100} = \sqrt{10^2} [/tex]
 [tex] \sqrt{100} = 10 [/tex]
We observe that the result can be written as the quotient between two whole numbers.
 For example:
 [tex] \frac{200}{20} = 10 [/tex]
This means that the number is rational.
