If it is written from a first person point of view you will see a lot of "me, I, my, etc..."
Third person "He did this. His. Him" or "She, her" or "They, them"
If it is in third person, then simply follow the pronouns back to the person speaking.
John saw a dog in front of him. He saw Shelly jump.
You follow "him" and "he" back to John. It is from John's point of view.
