Answer: many people think that the Cinco de Mayo is the day of independence ,but it’s not .the day of independence Mexican is 16 of September and It is called cry of Dolores

Cinco de mayo is a festive day that celebrates The victory of the Mexican army against the French in the battle of Puebla in 1862 the general Ignacio Zaragoza and four thousand Mexicans defeated the French army that had eight thousand French soldiers.the Mexicans felt a great national pride.

Cinco de mayo is not as an important day in mexico but the United States celebrate the Mexican culture in that day excitingly particularly California and other regions together with Mexican Americans.The major celebration takes places in Los Angeles,California.

Celebrating the day with parades,mariachis and parties.In Arizona there is a race of chihuahuas!Eating tradicional food like mole poblano and tacos.Mole poblano is a salsa is Pueblas Mexico.Its spicy and has the flavor of chocolate.
