Sustainability describes the actions humans can take to try and maintain some sort of balance with the Earth Air quality, water quality and availabilityreduced land erosion, replacing what is taken from the Earth (trees, crops, ) are just a few of the issues that sustainability deals withSelect one of the following scenarios that best describes an individual's actions that would help with sustainability.

A ) Reduced output in wind turbine blades would cut down on the carbon footprint of the factories that complete these tasks. This would help the Earth in the long run . Continually adding chemicals to sewage, after it is treated and before it is released back into the water supply, will help humans and the Earth into the foreseeable future . Adhering to scientifically backed guidelines on how to harvest and replant trees in a way that would not cause soil erosion or a loss in the biodiversity in that specific area would help the Earth in the long run D) Continued use of pesticides , herbicides , insecticides , and rodenticides will allow crops to grow and feed millions of people . The buildup of these chemicals in the environment is too small of a concern to try and change what is currently taking place

There is less water lost due to evaporation and therefore more available to plants. Mulch and minimum tillage results in twice as much available water as does deep tillage. This is an immediate benefit. We are looking for future benefits: less runoff and erosion, more soil stays in place, the soil is more fertile, and farmers use less fossil fuels.
