Answer:

Mesopotamia in the Western Asia(Iraq, Syria,Turkey-Syrian) was the first place where wheat was domesticated. The favourable Asian climate, couple with varieties of wide  wheat species(from hybridization of seeds ), enabled natural selection through crossbreeding for domestication to be possible from  these  seeds  varieties.

The domestication of wheat in this region was attributed to ;

diverse population of wide grain which populated this region; thus room for crossbreeding of seeds.

the topography of the area which  was hilly. This ensure proper drainage, needed for survival, preventing flooding.

The high sunshine  intensity of Asia climate, favours high photosynthesis rate, and therefore production  of food by wheat which leads to survival and increased population.

The interchanging climate of the Mesopotamia region is another contributing factor to the domestication of this plant.
