Do you think the office of the president of the United States has too much power, just the right amount of power, or too little power?

Respuesta :

The President has far too much power for one person. He (or maybe one day she) can refuse to sign legislation and in most cases Congress won’t have the numbers to override that. He is in charge of external relations and current activity and history (George Dubya, Iraq) shows where that can lead. He has access to the nuclear codes and that’s a danger in itself. The current occupant of the White House is, as well as all other problems, dictatorial and being served by a GOP majority looking to its own interests. He is using the position to profit, to divide the nation and to make fascism, including terrorism (“good people on all sides”), look legitimate.
