Keep his paddle arm low Make sure his feet are shoulder width apart Place his feet in a heel-toe touching position Stand tall with his legs straight

To achieve a push, the incoming ball must either be neutral or have a backspin. Incoming topspin strokes instead require a chop to impart backspin. We’ll tackle backhand pushes as they are easier than forehand pushes.

What is Ping pong?

Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small solid rackets. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net.

As the ball approaches, make sure you’re feet are slightly bent and around parallel with the table. And then, with your bat in front of your body at around belly button level, open your bat face so that it is facing the ceiling.

Then strike through the ball focusing on contacting the bottom part of the ball (not the back of the ball). Follow through even after you make contact.

The angle at which your bat is facing is dependent on the level of the incoming backspin. The greater the backspin, the more open your bat should be. Check out this great video by Ping Skills below which breaks the shot down.
