"when the world is world is mud luscious"

This explains how the authors words choice evokes a sense of friendliness. In my opinion the author wants to explore between the horizons in the sense that the author uses metaphors to describe the world in a positive manner.

"Has softened almost to a sigh"

This is explains the amazing nature of July it has been described as a sigh. This indicates a sense of pleasure and longing, because of the word "softened" is used it allows the reader to see how amazing the month of July can be.

Both of the authors uses imagery and metaphors to describe the soft and calm nature of spring. They describe spring as "luscious" and as "silver note" evoke a sense of longing and wistfulness which allows the reader to also long for spring.
