I disliked that in the book, John Ambrose McClaren is a pale skinned blonde haired caucasian boy but in the movie he has dark skin and dark eyes and dark hair. I think Jordan Fisher played the part extremely well he just didn't look like the character from the book. But, other than that I liked how they kept the movie extremely similar to the book compared to novels like Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory or The Golden Compass. Hope this helps :)
