They had always thought it was impossible, but Joey had done it. At the young age of 14, he was about to become a phenomenon, a sensation, and a celebrity! As he sat on the highest chair on his laboratory to contemplate his future, he accidentally bumped his knees on the steel transistor he had just created. Sure, it hurt like getting punched by Boyd, the class bully, but Joey's mind was occupied. He was just one step away from pressing a button and escaping it all. It would just take him one second to change his future and that of humankind forever.
Joey did not care about the pizza lying cold on his table or the homework still untouched in his backpack. He knew he might have found a way to impress Becky Nakamura, but he was not sure she would believe him at all. How could anyone believe that Joey had figured out a way to transport himself to the past? It was not the same as traveling to the future, but Joey was sure he would succeed in that mission as well.
