Note: Amendment 14, section 2, of the Constitution was modified by section 1 of the 26th amendment.
Section 1.
The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

One of the constituent political rights of citizens represents the right to vote, but unlike the others, legislation is subject to entire federal chapters and individual national codes. Elections in the US political system are highly important, systematic, and commonly used. In general, in accordance with the ideals of universality and equity, secret elections are held in the United States, which are universal for democratic states. The ballots are included in amendments 15 (prohibition of voting restrictions), 19 (freedom to vote for women), 24 (cancellation of election qualifications) and 26 (age qualifications) of the U.S. Constitution. In amendments, Voting Rights are enshrined. On the other hand, you know, Amendment No 1 enshrines political rights and liberties of people.

Voting is a large part of the nation's decision process. Expanding the number of citizens who can participate would only lead to better outcomes. Originally, only white men could vote on any matter whether state or nationally related. In 1869, the Fifteenth Amendment was passed, which grants African American men the right to vote. Then on June 4, 1919 the Nineteenth Amendment was passed. This amendment gave all American women the right to vote in elections. And after all these amendments were passed, everyone in the whole country above the age 21 has been given the right to vote. And in March 23, 1971, the voting age was lowered from 21 to 18. Making the voters of the U.S. an even broader number than before.
