If you Tape record a lecture you can listen to it over and over and get an understanding of what is being taught
If you write the information down you can refer back to it later and would help you remember the information better
And using the computer for note taking is faster for typing and writing/ copying information down and also you can get information off of the internet like stats or definitions
Although using the computer is better for typing faster and getting quotes or informations that may be relevant using a book and hand writing ensures that you remember the information better than typing where you may just be copying work etc
