It is false that geologic events that occurred during the Paleozoic Era
include mountain building and volcanic activity. These types of
activities actually happened during another era, called the Late
Cretaceous Period and lasted until the Eocene Epoch, so they couldn't
have happened during the Paleozoic Era. These activities are called the
Laramide Orogeny.
