Two groups collect litter along the side of a road. It takes each group 5 minutes to clean up a 200-yard section. How long does it take to clean up 2 miles? Explain how you solved the problem.

Respuesta :

I did a lot of math and i am pretty sure i got this right but two miles equals 3,520 yards .... 200 yards × the 5 minutes it takes to clean that up is 1000 yards =25 minutes to be cleaned , 2000= 50 minutes to clean up, 3000 miles = 1 hour and 15 mins to clean up. we are trying to get to 3,520 we are at 3000 ,so we need to find out how many miles can get cleaned in on min which is 60 miles
3,520 - 3000=
520

200
+
200
+
100
+
20
=
520 = 12 mins

so all together is should take 1 hour and 27 minutes
