Let the width be x.
Then, Length = x + 2 [ Given, Length is two more units than its width ]
According to the question,
We know that,
[tex] \sf \: Area \: of \: rectangle = Length \times Width [/tex]
[tex] \sf \bigstar Substituting \: the \: values ...[/tex]
[tex] \sf \: Area \: of \: rectangle = x ( x + 2 )[/tex]
[tex] \sf \rightarrow \: Area \: of \: rectangle = {x}^{2} + 2x[/tex]
Hence,the area of rectangle is x² + 2x .
