King Narmer was a ruler of the first Dynasty. The Palette depicts the unificient of upper and lower Egypt into the " Kingdom of the Two Lands". For example, under the divine king, the object was a ceremonial palette used in the ritual of mixing and applying the king's eye makeup.
King Narmer was often credited with the unification of Egypt. For example, while Menes is traditionally considered the first king in ancient Egypt. Narmer has been identified by the majority of Egyptologists as the same person as Menes.
