Julie believes the moon disappear on certain days every month because when there is a new moon, she can’t see the moon. As an teenager, we learn that we cannot see the moon because the side of the moon we see on earth is not getting any light from the sun at night. This would be your scientific explanation. Julie’s is not scientific, but just an observation that she made.
