Tom is making a punch that contains 80% cranberry juice and the rest ginger ale. The has two liters of ginger ale.
Write an equation using one variable that can be used to find the total number of liters of cranberry juice and ginger ale in the punch.
How many liters of cranberry juice are present in the punch?

2=x-(80\% of x) \\\\\sf

2=x-\frac{4x}{5} \\\\\sf

2=\frac{5x-4x}{5} \\\\\sf

2=\frac{x}{5} \\\\\sf

x=10 litres \\\\\sf

Volume \:of \:cranberry\: juice\:= \frac{4x}{5} \\\\\sf

=\frac{40}{5}

=8 litre
