Respuesta :

I believe that medical technology should be used to assist with hearing and speaking as it helps people with hearing loss to communicate better with people.

  • Medical technology simply means the application of science in order to develop solutions to challenges regarding health. An example of medical technology is the assertive devices used to help people with hearing loss.

  • Assertive technology is the device that can be used by a person that has a challenge with hearing in order for the person to hear better and communicate better.

There are different types of devices that can help people with hearing loss such as:

  • Assistive listening devices: This is necessary as it helps in amplifying the sound that one wants to hear. Examples include amplified telephones and hearing aid compatible phones.

  • Alerting devices: Such devices make a loud noise or blinking light so that the person that has a hearing aid can know that something is wrong. Examples include an alarm clock or doorbell alarms.

  • It should be noted that with such devices, people with hearing loss can communicate better with others and this will help them decrease the use of signs when talking to people.

In conclusion, I believe what such advancements will help in decreasing the usage of American Sign Language in society.
