It makes us feel like failures, like there is no hope for us to create the life we want. And hopelessness and low self-esteem are sure fire ways to feel bad and depressed.
In addition to this, procrastination can also make us feel super anxious and stressed. Often there are immediate negative consequences to procrastination like late fees for not paying bills or people being angry or disappointed in you. We are aware of those consequences while we are procrastinating.
