Alicia walked east for 30 yards, then walked north for 72 yards, as shown below. If Alicia were to walk directly back to her starting point, how many yards would she have to walk to get there?
If she walked 30 yards and 72 all you have to do is add them together wich is 102 yards. If thats how far she walked in all she probably walked the same length back unless she took a longer way or a short cut.
