even though humans and sharks are both vertebrates, there skeletons are made out of different materials. a human skeleton is made out of bone. a shark skeleton is made out of cartilage. cartilage is much more flexible a lighter bone. having a flexible skeleton helps sharks to able to change directions quickly while swimming. it also enables them to open their jaws really wide to take down and eat their prey. what was the authors purpose in writing this passage.
