Megan has three candles of the same length to provide light. Candle a
burns for exactly 72 minutes. Candle b burns twice as fast as candle a . Candle c burns
three times as fast as candle b . What is the greatest total number of minutes of light
that all three candles can provide?

Candle B = 2a

Candle C = 3b

Substitute.

Candle B: 2(75) = 150

Candle C: 3(150) = 450

Add all of them together.

75 + 150 + 450 = 675 minutes.
