I agree because now a days kids are more into comparing. Kids in the past really just wanted friends and to have fun although back then they was social pressure its worse now. Now a days kids are pressured into doing things and wearing different clothes and being someone different. All kids these days want is to be accepted by their peers. There's always some kids who are rich and typical and they are the kings/queens who everyone wants to be like so they listen to them back in the past there was way less social pressure. Kids just wanna be accepted and its gotten worse over the decades. I think that kids care about what other people think of them cause they don't wanna be lonely and have none to go through the tough times of life with.
