What would be the best arguments when debating "should homework be banned throughout elementary-high school?"

I am on the negative side, but would like to know arguments for my side, to make me stronger, and for the positive side, to know what to challenge them on.

If negative meaning against then say;
its a burden on students and teachers,
wastes paper and hurts the environment,
the purpose of helping a student is redundant if the student doesn't understand and needs actual help from a teacher/tutor
