When doing an aerobic workout, how do we know if we are overloading?

1) The distance we run

2) The heart rate is in the target exercise zone

3) Our muscles will get soar

4) We run so fast that we have to stop

The answer is our muscles will get soar
It’s either 3(our muscles will get soar) or 4(we run so fast that we have to stop) because you’ll be too weak but I’ll say it’s probably 3.
