Populist Party of Okhlahoma

During the early 1890s, the agragrian reformers of Okhlahoma got together  to formed a new party known as the People's Party or the Populist party.

These party helped the farmers by calling upon the goverment to regulate and control the banks, buffer the economic depression, etc.

But all these efforts cannot stop the increase in the farm debt taken by the farmers which ended up in the decline of the living standard of the people of Okhlahoma.
