Respuesta :
Hydrolysis is a chemical process in which a water molecule is inserted.
In light-based reaction, which occurs in the thylakoid layer, chlorophyll absorbs energy from the sun and converts it into chemical energy through water. Light-dependent reactions release oxygen to water hydrolysis as a by-product.
Hope it helps!
Water is one of the most important components of photosynthesis. The hydrolysis of water is required to provide the Electrons and protons( Hydrogen ions) in photosynthesis.
Light Reaction photosynthesis:
It is the phase in which plant cells produce NADPH and ATP via the energy of the electron transport chain.
In this phase,
- The water hydrolyzes to produce, electrons and Hydrogen Ion.
- Electrons move in from protein to protein and release their energy.
- This energy is used to pump the more hydrogen ion into the thalakoid lumen.
- The final electron is used to reduce the NADP molecule.
Therefore, the hydrolysis of water is required to provide the Electrons and protons( Hydrogen ions) in photosynthesis.
