Macbeth tried to bury his past of killing King Duncan by killing the chamberlains. These two men were planned and killed by Macbeth and Lady Macbeth whom they blamed for king's murder before everyone. He killed the two men to hide his crime. These two men where the only people who could have identified him as the murdered of the King.
Macbeth also planned to kill Banquo and his son. He sent men after them to kill them. Macbeth tried all the possible methods to control his future as predicted by the three witches.
