The narrator of "Yellow Wallpaper" changes the perception of her husband and Jennie, as she loses more and more in the environment in which she lives, as she increasingly loses contact with the outside world, having to look at herself and understand each other without distractions. With that, the husband who seemed kind and careful begins to be seen as someone who imposes a prison not only physical, but also emotional. Jennie, on the other hand, who was seen as a sister-in-law having her perception transformed into the author's perception of herself, someone she doesn't know, who she saw by others, but not intimately, as she should be.
