I think it depends on what you want to translate but for most cases when you ask a question in English it would be phrased “how are you” “which one is it” notice how you switch the words “you are” and “it is” to “are you” and “is it” in Spanish you wouldn’t make those changes which is what confuses both people that try to learn English and people that try to learn Spanish.
