Sound travels anywhere, mainly bc of the sound waves moving through the air. Sound can be blocked. In cold weather outside you can hear and in hot weather outside you can hear therefore sound can travel in a cold room and a hotter room .
Sound travels faster in a warm room than a cold room because particles bump into each other more often, increasing the chances of energy transfer, and the waves travel faster.
