A culture of bacteria has an initial population of 97000 bacteria and doubles every 8
hours. Using the formula Pt = P2á , where Pt is the population after t hours, Po
is the initial population, t is the time in hours and d is the doubling time, what is the
population of bacteria in the culture after 11 hours, to the nearest whole number?
I took 97000 and doubled it to get the doubling at 8 hours. For the 3 hours I took 3/8 of the doubled number. Then added doubled population and 3/8. 266,750.00 Not 100% on this one. I would double check.
