in my opinion people have a hard time showing courage because either they have the courage to do something but are afriad to or they don't have courage at all and wouldn't ever think of being courageous in any way possible.
People who tend to have courage but doesn't want to show others might've just been nervous and afriad of becoming a laughing stock. You never know, it happens.
