I have to look for the true meaning of this poem: I saw a man pursuing the horizon.
Please tell me what you think about it and also what does round and round they sped mean, and a short summary of each line. PLEASE!!

I saw a man pursuing the horizon;
Round and round they sped.
I was disturbed at this;
I accosted the man.
“It is futile,” I said,
“You can never -”

“You lie,” he cried,
And ran on.

I have no idea what to say for each line, but "round and round the sped" means whatever went on went on for a long time. That what I think of it anyway.

The true meaning is that a man is pursing and impossible dream you can really see that in this poem when there talking about the horizon and how he can’t get to it
