After leaving for Birmingham, Kenny and his family travel many places, giving Kenny a chance to explore and see through the eyes of other states. And we know that once the Watsons get back to Flint, Michigan, Kenny has definitely changed. He spends most of his time behind the couch, thinking back to Birmingham.
