If Miranda knows that 68+20=88 she can just subtract 1 from that answer because 20 is on less than 19. Miranda can use the same approach for 37+29 if she knows 37 + 30.
If she knows 68+20=88, then all she has to do is subtract 1 to get the answer to her original equation. If you use the same approach in the second equation it looks like this: 37+30=67 and she needs the answer to 37+29 so just subtract 1 and there’s your answer 66.
