I'm doing an anatomy assignment, and I don't really understand how signals travel down a neuron. I'm supposed to explain this using words like Sodium, potassium, channels, action potential, and other words. Can someone please explain how signals travel down a neuron?

Receptors receive and process the message, then send it on to the next neuron. 4. Eventually, the message reaches the brain.
