Joel's car runs out of gas on a railway crossing in a rural area. He puts on his flashers to warn approaching cars and begins walking to the nearest gas station, which is a mile away. A freight train approaches, and the engineer sounds his horn several times, thinking the driver will move off the tracks. By the time the engineer realizes that the car is abandoned, it is too late to stop the train. The car is totally demolished
