(2k+4) - 3k < 14
add 3k to both sides
2k + 4 < 14 + 3k
subtract 2k from both sides
4 < 14 + k
subtract 14 from both sides
-10 < k
< is what I'm using for the greater than or equal to sign here because of the lack of one on my phone.
